Muk Design

We make notebooks, toys, typefaces, prints, websites, books and lots of other good stuff; all celebrating art, design and creativity. Our products tell stories, share insights and wise words from our mentors. We want to give artists and designers the perfect tools that get their creative juices flowing.

The name Muk came from the Arabic word mukavva, which means cardboard.

Muk Design was founded in 2012 in Istanbul by Elif Gürbüz, a notebook-lover-and-architect-turned-graphic-designer-turned-entrepreneur, after reading Esther K Smith's How to Make Books.
