A Matter of Nazar in Shamanism
Shamanism is believed to be humanity’s oldest religion, dating back to the early Stone Age. It gave rise to Pagan culture in many regions throughout the globe. Evil eye beads are believed to protect people or things we value from evil or ill will, with their roots dating back to Shamanistic beliefs.
It is a Matter of… No matter how civilized Homo Sapiens become, comparisons and jealousy will always be a part of the human psyche. Therefore, for many, wearing an evil eye to protect oneself from jealousy and envy becomes a matter of principle.
Evil eye beads serve to protect against misfortune which comes from jealousy or envy, also known as the evil eye. They can express your feelings to those you deeply care for, or can serve as a firm “Mashallah!” to congratulate someone's success. When you think of a “new job gift, housewarming gift, wedding gift, souvenir gift, 'Mashallah' gift, anniversary gift” this is the first thing that comes to mind.

A PERSONAL MATTER
I believe that to be successful, you need to find a matter that you believe in. For the past 20 years I have seen Turkey export, its wealth to the rest of the world in the form of its quality raw materials, which have been more appreciated abroad than in our own country, a fact which has always saddened me. My personal matter has been to take our cultural richness, along with our high quality and original materials, and combine them with traditional methods practised for thousands of years and gives better results even than today’s technology to create a new brand.
A UNIVERSAL MATTER
The need to express ourselves and to attribute meaning to objects is an integral part of our existence. It is for this reason that the first humans drew paintings on cave walls. It is for this reason that Anatolian Kilims have used the same symbols for the past four thousand years. It is for this reason that all natives and tribes, from the Aborigines to the Vikings, that every civilization has its own unique symbols. Irrespective of geography, race or language, symbols represent mankind’s need to express itself. The forms have changed, but not our needs; perhaps this is a reminder of how similar to each other we really are...
A MATTER OF SUSTAINABILITY
We consume. Without a break, without thinking, even while we are breathing, we are always consuming. We consume believing that everything has been created for us. Do you believe that we can at least start consuming without destroying? We are trying to keep alive traditional fabrics and objects, and the traditional methods from our ancestors, along with crafts and the craftsmanship. Yes, the days are now much shorter, and time moves much faster. But this has also increased the value of owning something special. So what do you say, instead of just going with the flow, why not try changing the times?
